From within the hull of Noah's Ark; comes Noah's House Band, a quirky series of family friendly folkesque tunes unlike anything ever heard before.

Using vocal dexterity, honky instruments, household implements and the furthest reaches of imagination the cast of characters regale us with their enchanting tales including a hydrophobic whale and a Duckbill platypus with an identity crisis.

Think the Muppets, old fairy tales, Tom waits, David Attenborough, Woody Allen and a badger snuffling around in the long grass... all together on the Ark.

A cacophony of warbles, grunts, snuffles and barks have been squeezed into a little sampling box on old chair legs and are brought to life by one of the crews skilful percussion playing. Voices are amassed until they become a rabbled choir of creature, accompanied by hoots, cackles, hums, strums and hearty cheers from the rest of the crew.

The immediate childlike charm of these storytelling songs slowly reveals a complex and witty exploration of adult neuroses. If there was a psychiatrist onboard Noah’s Ark then this is how their caseload might have read.

"Just seen the band at folk on the coast. WTF. Outstanding individuality. Virtuoso musicianship. Not at all crazy or delusional. I'm home now, still thinking WTF. Keep on carrying on."
Les Payne, Audience member

"First time I've seen the band and wasn't sure what to expect but I was blown away. It was the best act I've seen and most fun I've had in ages. My partner and I sang along to the CD on the way home. I know my mum and brother will love you too so I'm sure I'll be back for more CDs!" Kate Lassetter, Audience member

"These guys make an instant impression, styled like a 1930s comic book, they turn mumbles, honks and barks into creative unique music. It was a performance no one was expecting and no one will forget." musicunbuttoned.co.uk
